Looking ahead, with a goodbye giveaway

In the last few days of December, I’m looking ahead to a new year here at Entering the Enchanted Castle! I’m saying goodbye to my other blog, The Emerald City Book Review, and moving all my book blogging activity over here. I look forward to welcoming many old and new friends to the Castle.

To celebrate this transition, I’ve created a book of The Best of the Emerald City Book Review — my personal favorite posts from seven years of blogging. This will be available soon in print and e-book versions through my book page.

Can’t wait? See the Rafflecopter link below for a chance to win a copy, through January 6.

In addition, until January 1 new subscribers to my email list will receive a free PDF advance proof copy as well as an extra chance in the giveaway. Good luck!

    1. Thanks, I’m very glad to still be here.

I wanted to make the book for myself, and I had a blast doing it. I’m happy if anybody else is interested, but the production of it was its own reward.

  1. Hallo, Hallo Lory,

I always felt the best of the Emerald City Book Review blog was how approachable you made your posts and how you always gave a wicked good overview of your reading life. Even the stories you weren’t reviewing necessarily were talked about and I liked how you handled the discussion posts. I’ve striven to have discussion based posts on my blog as well but somehow I haven’t quite found my niche with those as much as I found tweaking memes to be reflective of what applies to my bookish life. Maybe one day I’ll give it a try again. Mostly though, it was through your blog I came to know you because you always put a lot of heart and authentic voice into how you blogged and approached articulating your reactions to the books you were reviewing. That’s why I came back and have always enjoyed visiting with you.

    1. Thank you Jorie, your comments mean a lot to me. I also appreciate getting to know people through their authentic voice on their blogs, so I’m glad that comes through mine. I look forward to staying connected and to our mutual further reading adventures!
