In the midst of my fiction and nonfiction review posts, I couldn’t resist joining in with this Top Ten Tuesday topic, to share some of my favorite books of 2023. It was hard to pick only 10, so I somewhat randomly chose from my top reads of the year. I could do another one or two of these!
What have been your favorites of 2023?
How to Catch a Mole sounds interesting.
Here is my Top Ten Tuesday post.
It was fascinating. I had no idea moles were so strange.
I hope to get round to the Pratchett title soon, but we’ll see how matters evolve. Lots of good reads for me last year but Babel was a stand-out if uncomfortable experience, and of course many of the Le Guin Hainish titles are seared into my memories!
Yes, it was certainly the Hainish Year for me as well.
The Island Of Missing Trees sounds intriguing. A couple of books that I enjoyed last year were non-fiction ones. The Lost Rainforests Of Britain by Guy Shrubsole and River Kings: A New History of the Vikings from Scandinavia to the Silk Road by Cat Jarman.
Lost Rainforests of Britain? I’m curious to know morea bout that!
I’m hoping to read The Temple of Fortuna soon. I enjoyed the first two books in the trilogy, so I’m looking forward to that one!
It’s a worthy conclusion and as you can imagine, quite exciting.
I haven’t heard of any of these, but I’m glad they were winners for you. I hope you discover many more gems in 2024!
Happy TTT!

Happy New Year of reading!
So impressive as usual! Have a wonderful bookish year.
My best friend was just excitedly telling me about a podcast where he heard Bruce Greyson speak. I shall have to tell him Greyson’s book is highly recommended!
I thought it was excellent, and extremely thought provoking.
Lovely to see the Sherriff on there, a super book I would like to re-read! I ended up with 23 for 2023 because someone said I could do that! Happy reading in 2024 …
